“It’s my fault, I know I’ve got bad posture…”

One of the most common phrases I hear from patients and clients — whether in my chiropractic clinic or during Well Adjusted Seating consultations.

The problem isn’t posture itself — it’s how we think about it.

We imagine ballet or dressage — posture as something to hold. But in office ergonomics, that idea’s been hijacked to mean “sit bolt upright all day.”

The best posture is a changing posture.

Remember when teachers told you to sit still? Forget that. Fidget. Wiggle. Stand. Move. Your best posture is your next one.

And when you can’t move around, your chair should help you out.
I always insist on at least five adjustable features — back height, armrests, seat height, seat angle, and seat slide — so your chair moves with you, not against you.

That’s why, at Well Adjusted Seating, these are non-negotiable.
