At WellAdjusted Seating, we understand that no two bodies are the same. That’s why our bespoke chair fittings are designed to build a chair around you—not the other way around. With in-person and remote fitting options this is unrivalled in seating harmony.

We start from the ground up, customising every element to match your shape, posture, and preferences—so your chair feels like an extension of your body. We’ve a unique system to tailor your chair to you with interchangeable seats, backrests, arm rests and even colour and material combinations.


Here’s how the Virtual Bespoke process works:

Step 1: Pre-assessment
You'll complete a detailed online form before your consultation. This helps us understand your body, your current setup, and any symptoms or goals you have.

Step 2: Virtual consultation
One of our chiropractic seating specialists will go through your pre-assessment in detail via phone or video call. We’ll dive deep into any musculoskeletal or postural issues, leaving no stone unturned. Our clinical experience allows us to factor in chronic pain, past injuries, and workplace needs—so your chair works with you, not against you.

Step 3: Your chair, your way
We’ll design and build your chair with over 100 customizable components—from seat depth and firmness to lumbar support, backrest shape, and armrest adjustments. This also includes any additional accessories you might need or thought you needed, but actually didn't. Every detail is crafted around your comfort and posture.

Step 4: Delivery & setup
Once your chair is built (usually within a couple of weeks), we’ll ship it to you along with clear and simple video guides showing how to adjust every lever and feature. That way, you’ll get the most out of your new investment from day one.

The Bespoke Process

Stage 1

Your bespoke chair fitting journey begins with an online new client form which we use to learn as much about you as we can.

This will include relevant personal and health information. Such as height, weight, body type and any other pertinent medical history. We also want to know about any previous back or neck pain history and your current work place environment – such as current desk, space around you and even your outgoing chair.

We encourage you to share photos and anymore information you have about your workstation or any DSE workstation or occupational health assessments you’ve had carried out in the past.

The more we know in advance then we can hit the ground running during our assessment when we meet in person.

Stage 2

The next step is to come in for your fitting at our office in Emsworth or we can come to you.

This part of the tailored process is where we will deep dive with the completed form, investigating areas for concern and betterment.

This is the stage where you’ll likely have questions about your future chair—and it’s also when we’ll explain what we’ve identified as problem areas in your previous setup.

Stage 3

Then the fun starts with the build process. By this point your chiropractor will have short listed the best options for you with your history in mind.

With our 24hr chair base we can try many different sizes and layout of back rests, seats, arm and head rests with you able to sit in all these different configuration. Then we can fine tune things.

By fine tuning we mean to name but a few: 

  • pocket springs (soft or firm), 
  • coccyx cut outs (discreetly altered) 
  • variable seat base length for different leg / femur measurements 
  • high backed or low backed backrests 
  • lumbar and thoracic inflatable inserts for support 
  • Extra height arm rests for shorter arm length 
  • Memory foam toppers for seating and back rest comfort

Stage 4

By the end of the fitting process, we will have the perfect formula for you and once you’re completely happy we can send off your chair specification to our UK based manufacturer who often can get this dispatched back to us within 10 working days.

Once we’re in receipt of your chair at WellAdjusted, we will contact you to arrange delivery, installation and set-up for you at your desk.

This will encompasses our enhanced DSE workstation assessment, so we can optimise the rest of your desk setup to match your chair. We also show you how to use your chair so you know what every leaver and adjustment does.  That way when we leave you with your new seating companion, we know you’re all set for years for seating bliss.

We love to keep our relationship with you ongoing after your order and we will follow up with you in a few weeks to see how you’re doing.
